Specialty Tools
Specialty dies & precision tooling for complex die cutting
From tight-tolerance gasket dies to bulky automotive trim — a diemaker with depth across a multitude of industries.
Steel rule dies are an economical way to trim a wide range of materials across many manufacturing applications. Choosing Sharples means choosing a diemaker with deep experience in a multitude of industries.
We understand the difference between a tight-tolerance gasket die and a large, bulky automotive interior job — or the clearance required around a formed part. Our experience ranges across packaging, gaskets, electronics, foam, vinyl and specialty diecutting.
All steel rule dies are made with laser-cut boards of wood, clear plastic or Rayform. Laser-cutting ensures tooling accuracy, and we check the kerf of every lasered dieboard — at the laser and at final inspection. Multiple lasers and shifts keep up with customer demand.
Sharples offers automated bending from .937"–4" and 2pt to 6pt thick. CNC bending delivers dimensional stability and consistency across every cavity. Added services such as striker plates, backer plates, waterjet ejection, milled pockets, welding, brazing and QA inspection reports are available on request.
