When we offered abrasive water-jet cutting
to thermoformers, we also opened doors to a broader array of
tooling. A number of Sharples customers use this service to
free up time on their own CNC machines. Sharples inventories
include various thicknesses of aluminum and stainless steel.
Our water jet can accommodate materials as thick as 6 inches,
making the possibilities endless.
Whether you need complicated multiple-level
cutting anvils or if you need to incorporate
aluminum into
a heated tool, Sharples is your one-stop source for distinct
tooling requirements. File storage is kept indefinitely,
making reorders as easy as a file number and phone call.
Edge Quality
The quality of the edge depends upon the speed
of the cutting process. The differences between Edge
1 and Edge 3 reflect the variance of speed. Edge 1 requires
more abrasion and longer cutting time; this higher quality
of edge results in a higher cost.
